Help for Refugees
Willing to help needy refugees? Lifting Hands International is organizing an effort to fill an empty warehouse in a refugee camp in Serres, Greece. If you are able to contribute, please bring any of the following items with you to the General Women's Session of LDS Conference at the Huntsville Stake Center on Saturday, September 24th from 4:00 to 4:30 or to Jenny Harris' house any time before September 30th.
Hygiene-----Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap, Sanitary Pads, Diapers, Dish Soap, Powdered Laundry Soap
First Aid-----Band-Aids, Disinfectant
Food---------Rice, Cooking Oil, Lentils/Beans (dried or canned), Canned Meat (tuna, sardines, chicken)

A Hike and Baptisms
Gail Ahlstrom is inviting all sisters on a hike Monday the 12th of September at 9 a.m. She'll be hiking the Ogden Overlook Trail at Snowbasin. It's an easy to moderate hike of 5 miles round trip. Bring your own water and snacks. Meet at the church. Any further questions should be directed to Gail.
Also, the Young Women are putting out a call for any names they can take to the temple to do baptisms. If you have some, please contact Jodi Richardson or Holly Duke. Thank you!

Collection for Refugees from the Congo
Huntsville 2nd Ward is collecting GOOD, USED FURNITURE and HOUSEHOLD ITEMS for refugees from the Congo.
Donations can be left in the flatbed trailer in the driveway to the south, or on the front porch of the Lee's home (check your email or message me for the address) Contact Pam Lee if you need pick-up of large items.
Three families from the Congo have relocated to Ogden in the last two months through CCS refugee services. Two more families are on their way in the next two months. They are coming from refugee camps. They have only the clothes they bring with them. They need anything and everything that you may be willing to donate.
Furniture, bedding, beds/bed frames, towels, TV/DVD players, clothes, small appliances, toys, children's DVDs (to learn English), kitchen utensils, hygiene items, dishes and pans.
